Not just the journalists and bloggers scrabbling for $60k, but even the engineers with $125k paychecks will eventually find their friend’s just made $3 mil off a sale of a startup they didn’t even start. ..those millionaires will still be jealous of their colleagues who made it out with “fuck you” money, who will in turn start hanging out with moguls whose fortunes dwarf their own..

Oh boy, a young person started a business. Who cares? It’s cool and all that they started businesses, but they still have a 90% chance of failing just like everyone else. The real test is whether they already have an idea for business #2.

You can stand to be flat for awhile when you are way ahead, but when you’re #2 and flat you’re not in a good place.

Heroics are for when you have no other choice. When you can afford to take on tremendous risk because there’s no alternative. That’s probably not today.

..don’t listen to pundits, loud bloggers, or any individual just because they have a large following or can make a lot of noise…especially if they haven’t used the site on a regular basis! Make sure that the sample of people you’re listening to is part of the actual user population.
